Malaysian Ikan Bakar: What goes well with it!!!

There's all sorts of cooking the we can cook with Fish and among them is Smoked/ Grilled fish!!
One of the Malaysian favorite dish is 'Ikan Bakar' and today I will share with you among the few recipes that we can do if we smoke/grill the fish.

We grilled the fishes with just turmeric powder and salt as seasoning, but what makes the grilled fishes more appetizing is the Malaysian style salsa aka 'kuah cecah'
1. Asam bawang
Ingredients for Asam
Slices red onion
Cili Api
Asam jawa (Tamarind)
Salt and sugar
How to make: Just mix all of the ingredient.

2. Kuah Percik - Famoush Kelantan Dish
Ingredients for Kuah Percik
Blend:
Red onion
Garlic
Red Chili (if you want spicy, add more)
Asam keping
Salt and sugar
Santan (Coconut Milk)
Kunyit hidup (Turmeric)
How to make: Cook all the ingredients above in cooking pan till it become thick and cooked. Dip the raw fish in the gravy and grill the fish. Do few rounds of coating with the gravy until the fish is cooked.

*sambal kicap dip with Tahu Goreng (Fried Tofu)
3. Sambal Kicap- infamous Johorean Dip
As a Johorean, our meal will not be complete without "Sambal Kicap". We just dip every food with sambal kicap!!!
Ingredients for Sambil Kicap
Ketuk-ketuk..
Garlic
Cili Api (if you want spicy, add more)
Sweet Soy Sauce
Salt and sugar
Limau Kasturi (lime)
There you go. 3 styles of gravy for your grilled/ smoked fish. Enjoy..!!
