Get Your Hands Messy By Eating Chili Crab & Ketam Masak Lemak Cili Api!!!

Mom loves to cook crab when all my siblings were at home. She would consider this as mini food feast because we will get our hand messy to crack the crab shell open.



Today I will share with you 2 very different Malaysian style of cooking crab. One is the Malay cooking style which is the Masak Lemak Cili Api, and another one is the Chinese Chili Crab.


Let me start by sharing with you how my mom cook her infamous Chili Crab


Blend these Ingredients:

Lots of Red Chili

Red Onion

Garlic

Ginger


Cook all the blend ingredients in a frying pan with the lemon grass until it cook. Add oyster Sauce, Chili & Tomato Sauce. then balance the gravy with Salt & Sugar. Put all the crab in the pan and close the pan lid to let the crab cook for another 10 minutes.


In Malaysia, we eat Chili crab either with rice or with Mantau bun.

Blend these Ingredients:

Red Chili / Chili Padi

Red Onion

Garlic

Tumeric

1 Santan


Cook all the blended ingredient above with few slices of Daun Kunyit. Balance the gravy with salt. Then put the crab into the pan and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.



Easy right..but if we eat crab with my big family in the restaurant, gosh it will cost us a fortune..hahahah
