Delightful Snacks Just Using Tortila Wrap!!!

Updated: Apr 12, 2020

When we talked about Tortila wrap, we used to think about wrap or burito!!

Tortila is like our Malaysian-Indian bread which I refer to chapati and made of wheat flour, baking powder, vegetable oil and salt.

While doing my chicken tender wrap with a piece of tortila, I said to my mom "Hey, why don't we make chips using this tortila wrap!!"

And that is how this simple yet delightful snack recipes came about and here are some of my ideas that you can try.

It's all started with the dips:

1. Cheezy Spicy Dips

Now it's easy to get the instant cheezy via online/ supermarket, however it is actually pretty easy to make too.

All u need is cheddar cheese powder, paprika and mix it in a hot boiling water in a pan. Pour 1/2 cup of milk and stir it well till it become thick.

2. Beef Chile dips

Well..I never been to Maxico but I really like Beef Chili to dip my chips. All seasoning mix by McCormick has never disappoint me.

How to make:

Chopped Holland onion, garlic and red chili and fry in heated sauce pan. Mix the McCormix Chili seasoning in a bowl of water and pour into the pan. Add 250g cooked minced beef and let it cook. Add a can of Kidney bean/ ayamas baked bean in tomato then balance the taste with some chili sauce and tomato sauce.

To make the chips is very easy..just cut into triangle and just bake in the oven with slow temperature ~140C. Sprinkle a bit of olive oil. Baked the tortila till it become hard like a chips

Wait...there's another one you should try too. It's the Beef Nachos but with Tortila!!

With the same Beef Chili dip, you can drain the excess gravy and put it on the semi baked Tortila chips and sprikle Cheddar cheese on top. Then let it bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle some fresh parsley on top as garnish.
